Birds chirping.
Clarity with words being spoken during one-on-one conversations.

The sounds I can hear now that i have difficulty hearing before are:
My husband talking to me (soft spoken)
Individuals that tend to mumble

In what way have your hearing aid(s) improved your quality of life?
I’m not embarrassed because I’m having to guess what people are saying and I enjoy going out with friends. My family seems more likely to talk to me because they don’t have to raise their voice.

Since receiving hearing aid(s), my family has noticed:
I’m not asking my family to repeat what they said
I can hear people in the front seat of the car if I’m in the back seat
The TV is not blaring, but at a normal volume
I talk softer
I can hear them on the phone

Great staff. Very friendly. We absolutely love Dr. Rauch. She is kind, patient, understanding, friendly and super knowledgeable. The offer of something to drink while you wait is a nice touch

The sound I most enjoyed since receiving my hearing aid(s) are:
Auto turn signals, birds, nature, what is said to me, music, general everyday sounds around house, traffic while riding in auto, wind and rain, ringing of phone, sounds of hitting golf ball

The sounds I can hear now that i have difficulty hearing before are:
Most importantly, wife! Anything anyone was saying to me in a car, restaurant, or outdoors. Sports sounds. No ringing in my ears. TV on Low

In what way have your hearing aid(s) improved your quality of life?
Don’t have to ask – what did you say? Calmer and attitude is much better because I am not frustrated by not hearing. No more ringing-finally.

Since receiving hearing aid(s), my family has noticed:
Able to hear 1st time, calmer, more efficient and less irritable. Memory is better because I can hear what we need at the store, what’s for dinner, etc. Since the ringing has stopped when hearing aids in, I’m a lot easier person to be around. I sleep better.

Please tell us your overall experience with our practice and our staff:
Everyone is super professional, caring, respectful. They seem to care about the person first, everything else second. Dr. Vasilike explains everything in detail and answers all questions. Hearing has changed my life for the better. Even my memory is better!

The voices coming through the devices directly to my ears has really clarified what was said.

The sounds I can hear now that i have difficulty hearing before are:
The birds singing and locating the bird (direction).

In what way have your hearing aid(s) improved your quality of life?
I’m not distracted by background or crowd noises when I use the settings such as “restaurant” and “crowd”.

Since receiving hearing aid(s), my family has noticed:
I’m sleeping better (even though I don’t wear the hearing aids while sleeping). I’m no longer bothered by tinnitus. Falling asleep prior to receiving my hearing aids, the irritating tinnitus prevented my falling asleep. My husband noticed I hear his words better, too!

Please tell us your overall experience with our practice and our staff:
The staff is very friendly and professional..Scheduling appointments to fit my schedule was very easy (usually less than a week or sooner, if I have had a problem).
Wait times in the office are always less than 15 minutes. Dr. Rauch has a very caring kind demeanor. I always feel she is totally focused on ME and understands my hearing difficulties and how it affects my life and those I interact with. Her suggestions are always appropriate and valued.
Dr. Rauch has authored literature explaining how our ears and brain work together and how some hearing difficulties can make our life less than joyous (the articles are available in her office). The articles are very informative and easy to understand. I sent these articles to friends who live out of state. Both read the articles and then made appointments to having their hearing evaluated. Both purchased hearing aids! They knew their hearing was bad, but they had no idea how hearing loss can affect your mental health until they read Dr. Rauch’s articles!
Dr. Rauch discussed with me the various types of hearing devices and the advantages and disadvantages of each type. BUT I made the decision and then she supported my choice and told me WHY she agreed I felt NO pressure in making my decision. Also of importance to me are the various payment choices. Her staff explained the options in a manner that was easy to understand. This made my decision easier! I chose the monthly plan which includes the cost of the hearing devices, all office visits, and routine maintenance of the devices. No hidden costs! No surprises.

I am a music fan. Interesting to hear new tons and beats in music that I have never heard before!

The sounds I can hear now that i have difficulty hearing before are:
Same as above , be it the Stones, Eagles, or newer songs, Funny to hear new tones that I have been missing my whole life.

In what way have your hearing aid(s) improved your quality of life?
My hearing aids have reduced my tinnitus significantly!! My tinnitus started after my COVID booster. Very pleased with my hearing aids.

Since receiving hearing aid(s), my family has noticed:
I don’t think they have told me anything new, but did encourage me to get hearing aids due to my tinnitus, telling me “its just like wearing glasses.”
